初见许耀鹏，白皙的脸庞，双眼炯炯有神，说起话来温和而慢条斯理。“其实我入行时间并不长，也就十年，而收获大的不是金钱，而是前辈们总结出来的经验。”谈起自己的苗木生意，许耀鹏表现得总是那么谦虚、低调。许耀鹏说，刚入行起初非常迷茫，一味的跟着别人种什么，他便种什么。之后，他发现不能总做追随者。因为在刚入行时，自己只有几十亩地，卖苗总是搭别人的车卖，价格经常被压得很低，所以觉得突出个人的独到之处才是关键。
